Where the Arts and Hospitality meet in Stratford, Ontario, Canada
The Queen and Albert Bed and Breakfast has the perfect location: we are up the street from the Stratford Festival Theatre and a short walk to downtown Stratford for the Avon, Tom Patterson and Studio theater as well as Stratford’s fine restaurants and boutiques. Park your car, walk around town and soak up the ambience of Stratford.
Stratford’s original boutique bed and breakfast has four well appointed suites for a soothing and relaxing stay. There are three queen suites on the second floor and one twin suite on the first floor. Each are equipped with a full bathroom with bathtub/shower, seating area, desk, cable T.V., wifi, ipod dock/clock/radio and fridge. Well known for superb breakfasts, original artwork throughout, and eclectic decor. We are more than just accommodation, more than your usual hotel, motel or inn, we are hospitality. The Queen and Albert B & B has over 10 years of experience satisfying guests from around the world.
We are also one of the most unusual B&B's in Stratford as we are located in a tastefully renovated store. Built by the Whyte family in 1901, it served as the neighbourhood grocery store until the early 1970's. Many Stratford residents have fond childhood memories of Whyte's market. In 1998 it was rescued and converted into The Queen and Albert B&B. The storefront and awning are original to the building.
Our guests say: "Hospitality with a capital H" ~ "Perfect location for enjoying Stratford" ! ~ "Perfection: rest, relaxation, coffee and the theatre's just a 5 minute walk" ~ "My favorite B&B, year after year" ~ "Heavenly eats" ~ "The Queen and Albert is our first choice in Stratford" ~ "wouldn't stay anywhere else" ~ "Relaxed, enjoyable, excellent rooms, affable host, and great breakfasts" ~ "shhh, Queen & Albert is the best kept secret in town!" ~ "A charming host, comfortable spaces, delicious food..." ~ "We wouldn't go to Stratford if we couldn't stay at the Queen and Albert."
